In my first year, I was the top rookie, and in my second year, I was the top agent in the company and became an assistant manager. Also during that time, I learned how to sail at ULCA and became a sailing instructor, where I still teach kids to sail today.
I grew up in Vancouver, Canada, and went to the University of British Columbia, majoring in accounting and business administration. After obtaining my professional designation as a Chartered Accountant, I worked for a public accounting firm, a hotel, and a financial planning corporation. After moving down to Los Angeles in 1984, I obtained my California real estate license and started with a local real estate office. During the 1990s, I became an expert in selling shorts and working with real estate investors. Also, during that time I obtained my pilot's license out of Santa Monica Airport, and I am currently a member of the Civil Air Patrol, which is an axillary of the US Air Force responsible for search and rescue for downed pilots. I have also obtained my California real estate broker's license.
